WWF UK. ADOPT A TURTLE.
The main objective was to boost donations to the WWF's animal adoption program through a filter and AR Ads, using specific functionalities within Meta Spark. To bring the public closer, it was created a filter that placed a virtual turtle in the user's environment.
In the experience, the users place a turtle in real-scale in their environment and are encouraged to slide their finger across the screen to make time pass and watch its eggs hatch.
My role:
While at Vitulo, I took part in Meta’s global pitch challenge for WWF — a call for ideas aimed at increasing animal adoptions through augmented reality. Out of several proposals from Meta’s partner network, ours was selected to move forward.
I joined the project from its earliest stages, contributing to concept ideation and research that led us to the turtle — the species we chose to spotlight. I dove deep into scientific sources to ensure the accuracy of the experience and led the entire development of the AR filter, programming a real-scale turtle that users could place in their environment.
Throughout the project, I also participated in weekly and monthly meetings with both Meta and WWF UK to align expectations and ensure creative, strategic and technical consistency across all phases.
